St. Mary's Primary School is a Catholic, co-educational primary school situated in the village of Cargan approximately ten miles from Ballymena. It provides an education for children between the ages of four and eleven.

The school was founded in 1875 and has continued over the years to provide an education for the children of the village and outlying area. At present the school has a staff of four full time teachers including the Principal. Total enrolment is eighty seven pupils.
